What does Bethlehem Lutheran Church do to help the poor, the sick, and the lonely?

• We collect food, money, clothing, and items for the needy and send these to various organizations.
• In various ways, we support the ministry of the ELCA World Hunger Appeal, the Hickory Soup Kitchen, Cooperative Christian Ministry, Flynn Christian Fellowship Houses of Hickory, Family Care Center, Boy Scouts of America, the Salvation Army, and other organizations.
• We pray for and visit the sick and the home bound and provide them with special seasonal gifts of love.
• We pray for and support our military personnel who are away from home.
