Anna grew up in Hickory and is a lifelong member of Bethlehem. She graduated from Newton-Conover High School and Appalachian State University with a BS degree in Mathematics.
She taught high school math for several years, following in her father's footsteps. Anna now works for Catawba Valley Community College.
Anna is married and has one daughter, Kathryn. Anna and her family enjoy the outdoors and always Appalachian State University football. Anna is an avid runner, three times qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
